4. Avoid bearing corrosion
When picking up the bearing directly by hand, wash away the sweat from your hands and apply high-quality mineral oil before stopping the operation. Pay special attention to rust prevention during the rainy season and summer.
However, under certain special operating conditions, the bearing can achieve a life that is better than traditional calculations, especially under light load conditions. These special operating conditions are that when the rolling surfaces (tracks and rolling elements) are effectively separated by a smooth oil film and limit the appearance of contamination that may be caused by damage. Warm reminder: Bearings should be placed in a monotonous, ventilated and level place, and should be stored separately from chemicals and other corrosive items. If multiple sets of bearings need to be stacked, three or more wooden blocks of equal height should be placed evenly between each set along the circumferential direction, and the positions of the upper and lower blocks should be different. For bearings that need to be stored after the anti-rust period, the cleaning and anti-rust treatment should be suspended again.
