Oil-free bushing means that there is no need to add lubricating oil and grease, which is convenient in use and maintenance, saving cost, time and expense. There are three main types:
1. The metal matrix, generally copper-lead, has holes on the surface, and grease is added to the holes; it relies on a large amount of grease in the holes to support the operation, in fact, it takes a long time to add oil;
2. Composite bushing, one is steel back + copper powder + PTFE Teflon, the other is steel back + copper powder + POM polyoxymethylene; it belongs to the compression molding; it can be operated by the inner wall material of the bushing, but it is very Thin, fragile, unbearable under high pressure;
3. Non-metallic self-lubricating bushings: real self-lubricating; nylon, PTFE, and Cylon;
So, what are the specific functions of oil-free bushings?
Oil-free bushing refers to a ring sleeve that acts as a gasket. In the field of valve applications, the bushing is inside the valve cover and wraps the valve stem. Generally, corrosion-resistant materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene or graphite are used for sealing.
Function: protect the shaft and seat hole without wear; shock absorption and noise reduction; reduce disassembly and maintenance;
Material: An imported THORPLAS can be considered;
Use: No grease, dry operation;
Installation: interference fit
